- Add the caramelized onion, chives, cream cheese, and sour cream and blend until combined.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve & Enjoy.
Recipe Tips
- You can mix the hot onion in with the cream cheese and sour cream if you are running low on time. It will, however, be quite runny. Chilling the dip in the fridge will thicken it up.
- If you prefer fewer onion chunks in your dip, you can dice the onion further after you have caramelized it. Allow it to cool slightly before attempting to dice.
- The cream cheese must be at room temperature; otherwise, the mix may curdle and become lumpy.
- Allowing the dip to sit will let the flavors develop more. This extra time will leave you with a better-tasting dip, but the additional time is unnecessary if you need it fast.
- You can make this dip gluten-free by simply making sure the Worcestershire sauce you use does not contain gluten. You can usually check this by simply reading the label, and it should mention that it is gluten-free.
